Hippo Motor Group is a Blackburn based award-winning car dealer that has been trading since 1906. They pride themselves in being the one-stop-shop for all vehicle needs from leasing and finance to new and used cars. They had invested in technology at their Blackburn showroom in the past and were looking for ways to help customers browse the stock. They wanted to incorporate more technology to stand out from the crowd as a leader in high-end cars and customer service. Hippo had developed an app, which enabled customers to browse stock and apply for car finance. They wanted to use this app on a new piece of technology at the showroom.

 

Our Solution

Alpha met with the team at Hippo and discussed the various options to display and use their app, including indoor and outdoor screens. After understanding their requirements and customer behaviour, Alpha suggested that an outdoor interactive totem would be perfect solution to run their app on. Alpha manufactured a 49” interactive outdoor totem display in their brand colours. Our team of experienced AV Engineers installed the totems in the car park area so that customers can browse the app when they arrive.

Outcome

Hippo Motor Group now have an interactive outdoor totem to display their app. Customers can now browse the stock of cars, making the car-buying journey easier and quicker for customers. They are now able to book test drives and apply for finance when the showroom is closed so no potential business leads are lost due to opening hours. The outdoor totem has enhanced the customer experience at Hippo Motor Group.
