The Challenge

Smith Brothers Services Ltd is a family run business, established in 1969, providing a first-class service that supplies premier used trucks and commercial vehicles at affordable prices. With 50 years of experience in the haulage and second-hand commercial vehicle market, Smith Brothers Services Ltd has built a strong reputation in this sector. 

William Stobart, Director of Smith Brothers Services Ltd, has been to many meeting rooms and his experience from an information sharing and user experience perspective had invariably been poor. 

Therefore, he wanted to ensure that Smith Brothers’ own meeting rooms would allow staff and visitors to have the connectivity and collaboration tools they needed. 

Our Solution

Our team of AV experts completed a site visit at the Smith Brothers Services head office in Warrington. Once we had an idea of the layout of the meeting rooms and what the company wanted to achieve, we set out creating the perfect hardware, software and integration system for them. 

We manufactured a series of displays, from 4K interactive touchscreens to commercial digital signage displays, and installed these in the reception area, staff areas and each of the three boardrooms.  

Essential to the entire project was the delivery of an easy use to use user interface, to be accessed via a tablet and that allowed full control of all hardware and signal sources with the touch of a button.  

Together, this provided a system where staff and visitors can easily connect their own device, mobile or laptop, to the display screens in the meeting rooms, creating a user-friendly space for everyone.  

The displays in the staff areas and reception are used to broadcast company news and information about the business to visitors. This can all be controlled from a central location for ease-of-use and brand continuity. 

The Outcome.

Smith Brothers Services Ltd now has a complete AV solution designed for their needs. 

The business can now view any source, whether it be a laptop or mobile device, on any of the displays throughout the head office. This has given them much more flexibility when it comes to meetings.  

William Stobart is happy with the solution as it has enabled himself, staff and visitors to quickly connect their devices to multiple displays so that meetings can go ahead without distractions or delays.
